Shanghai Port breaks new container volume record n August

In August, the throughput of Shanghai Port hit a new monthly record high and posted a container volume of 4.318 million TEU.

The new record surpassed the previous monthly container volume record of 4.2 million TEU in October 2020.

In August, new port equipment was commissioned at the fourth phase of the Yangshan Automated Terminal, and an empty container handling center in Shanghai also was opened, which greatly improved the container handling capabilities of the Shanghai Port.
