Maritime company CMA CGM purchased more air cargo

The company, which is the fourth largest sea container carrier in the world, also has CMA CGM Air Cargo, which opened in February 2021. The first flight was made in March between Liege (Belgium) and Chicago (USA).

And amid all these problems in logistics, the hype in e-commerce, delays in ports and a shortage of containers, CMA decided to pay more attention to air transportation and increase the number of cargo planes.

The company has acquired two new Boeing 777 Freighters. Each aircraft has a payload of about 102 tons and a range of 5,700 miles.

CMA CGM said the company's longer range allows for fewer stops and reduced landing fees on long haul routes.
